Delaware Canal State Park
The park consists of a 60 mile towpath of the Delaware Canal.  Mule drawn boat rides are available in New Hope, PA. The trails is a great place for walkers, joggers, bicyclists, cross country skiers, and bird watchers.

Evansburg State Park
Located just outside of Philadelphia, the park has open fields and woodlands along the Skippack Creek.  Activities include hiking, biking, horseback riding, picnicking, ballfields, fishing, hunting, and golf. 

French Creek State Park
The park has just under 40 miles of hiking trails and two lakes, Hopewell and Scotts Run. Activities inlcude biking, hiking, horseback riding, picnicing, swimming, boating, fishing, hunting, disc golf, and camping.  Located nearby is the Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site.

Fort Washington State Park
George Washington build a temporary fort here in the fall of 1777.  The park is great for hikers and picnicers.  Other activities at the park include softball fields, and fishing.

Marsh Creek State Park
The park consists of 1,705 acres which contains the 535 acre Marsh Creek lake.  Poluar activities in this park are fishing, sailing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, and birding.

Neshaminy State Park
The park consists of 330 acres along the Delaware River. Activities include Hiking, Picnicking, swimming, boating, and fishing.

Nockamixon State Park
The park consists of 5,283 acres including the 1,450 acre Lack Nockamixam.  Activites inlcude hiking, biking, horseback riding, picnicking, swimming, boating, fishing, hunting, cross country skiing, sledding, ice fishing, ice skating, youth hostels, and cabins.

Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center
The center consists of 665 acres of woodlands.

Ralph Stover State Park
The park consists of 45 acres along the Tohickon Creek.  Activities include hiking, picnicking, whitewater boating, and fishing.

Ridley Creek State Park
The park consists of 2606 acres of woodlands and meadows along Ridley Creek.  The park is only 16 miles from center city Philadelphia.  Activities include hiking, biking, horseback riding, picnicking, fishing, formal gardens, cross country skiing.

Tyler State Park
The park consists of 1,711 acres.  Activities include hiking, biking, horseback riding, picnicking, fishing, boating, disc golf,  and youth hostel.

White Clay Creek Preserve
The preserve consists of 1,341 acres of varying terrain.  The preserve shares a boundary White Clay Creek State Park in Delaware.  Activities at the park include hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, and cross country skiing.
